Marechal Deodoro is famous for its lace, and you can buy high quality lace goods at a bargain. It is some of the best lace work you'll find anywhere in Brazil.
Close to Marechal Deodoro, you'll find the tiny fishing village of Massagueira. Massagueira makes a great stop along the way, and it is known particularly for its pretty ocean views and delicious seafood. It makes a great stop on your way when you are returning to Maceio.
It's easy to get to Marechal Deodoro from Maceio. There is a bus that leaves from the center of Maceio and takes you right to the heart of the village.
